OUR GUESTS

Dear Friends:

I am happy you chose to attend Black Writers On Tour, Nashville: Beginning Nashville's Literary Renaissance and would like to thank you for your participation. This annual event is expected to grow yearly and provide midsouth authors, writers and book lovers access to some of the top African-American writers in the country. Moreover it is designed to provided a forum by which new writers can get reliable and credible information about the publishing business. This year we are excited that the founder of Black Writers on Tour Dr. Rosie Milligan will be our special guest. She is a dynamic author, publisher and motivational speaker. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Africana Studies Department of Tennessee State University.

Other special guest include the very talented Christian romance novelist Kendra Norman Bellamy. Kendra has already been recognized as a gifted writer in the exploding genre. In addition to writing novels, Kendra is also founder and president of KNB Publications, LLC, a contributing staff writer for online Christian magazine, Divine Eloquence Ezine, a reoccuring contributing writer for Precious Times Magazine and serves as an Editorial Consultant for Booking Matters Magazine. She is also a motivational speaker, an active member of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) and the founder and moderator of The Writer's Hut, an online critique and support group "for writer's only". With multi-book deals with both Moody Publishers and BET Books, Kendra describes herself in a single word: "Blessed".

Here is where writers can meet and greet publishers who have been in the business for years and who are willing to provide all the tricks of the trade to ensure a writers success.

We are also happy to annouce the afternoon seminar, A Day with The Doctors, Can Black Love Be Healed? We decided to incorporate this seminar for the purpose of discussing the very real problem of black male-female relationships and how the lack of respect and commitment from both party's are leading black children down a path of destruction. At the end of the day it is ultimately a parents responsiblity to lead their children and that can not be done if children are growing up in fractured and bitter relationships.

I hope you will join us Friday and Saturday, February 3-4, 2006 as we laugh, cry, love and write about the black experience. Below is a schedule of events and ticket information. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 615-554-0568 or via email at daddyluv1@juno.com.
